In a pair of tweets Monday night - the eve of formally announcing his re-election bid - Mr. Trump said U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement would next week "begin the process of removing the millions of illegal aliens who have illicitly found their way into the United States".

The article is based on interviews with current and former officials who "described the previously unreported deployment of American computer code inside Russia's grid and other targets..."

Meanwhile, a high-ranking source from a Russian law enforcement agency said Monday, commenting on the New York Times story, that Moscow has been registering attempts by USA security services to conduct cyberattacks against Russian infrastructure control systems. Now Trump claims that even publishing the story is "a virtual act of Treason".

The Kremlin on Monday warned that reported USA digital incursions into Russia's electric power grid could trigger a "cyberwar" between the two countries.

But it also reported that two administration officials believed the president had not been briefed in detail, fearing he might countermand the action against Russian Federation or reveal sensitive information to foreign officials.

"An offensive cyber-strategy is a necessary component of a larger military and diplomatic strategy against a determined United States adversary like Russian Federation".

President Donald Trump tweeted about another round of ICE detentions on the way, and it's hitting home for one Kansas City family.

The administration said in March it would cut aid to the three countries after Trump expressed unhappiness with the their immigration policies.

Iran accuses Saudis of militaristic approach in Middle East
Answering the question, consider whether the USA military option to counter Iran, the Secretary of state said: "of Course". Iran has denied having any role.

But now the American strategy has shifted more toward offense, officials say, with the placement of potentially crippling malware inside the Russian system at a depth and with an aggressiveness that had never been tried before.

While trying to avoid the risk of escalating the situation with Russia, Perez said that this action and others taken by USA cyber-ops teams are aimed at preparing the battle space with Russia, so that the United States will be ready at some future point, should direct action need to be taken. He goes beyond calling the New York Times, the "Enemy of the People" as he has done in the past.

Some are taking this latest round of Trump tweets as a threat of massive new coordinated raids on immigrant homes or workplaces.

The response of the Trump administration to the publication of this report was revealing.

The classified document gives the commander of Cyber Command, Gen Paul Nakasone, the power to conduct offensive online operations without needing presidential approval.

Member of Houston's undocumented community said Trump's tweet Monday, warning ICE would start removing millions of "illegal aliens" next week found in the USA, worries them.

Other U.S. officials with knowledge of the preparations have said the operation was not imminent, and that ICE officials were not aware the president would make public sensitive law enforcement plans on Twitter.
