  • London England. President Trump's three-day state visit began with lunch with the Queen followed by a State Banquet at Buckingham Palace whilst today

Meghan called Donald Trump divisive, especially for female voters, adding: "I think it was in 2012, the Republican Party lost the female vote by 12 points".

Trump's comments came in a wide-ranging interview in which he also dismissed the significance of climate change, defended his choice of words about the American-born Duchess of Sussex and suggested he was looking into new gun regulations banning silencers. In an interview with Piers Morgan-a true match made in hell-Trump did concede that he called her a nasty woman, but only because she criticized him.

"I think it's a long shot when you say that, you know, I don't think it's going to happen".

"I said she was nasty about me".

"I think it will all work out very well, and also for you with your wall, your border", Trump said, as Varadkar jumped in to say that, actually, Ireland wanted to avoid a border or wall, according to The Guardian.

Trump insists that when he said "I didn't know she was nasty" about Meghan, he simply meant, "I didn't know she was nasty about me". He was just saying that she'd been nasty to him in her comments about him.

Morgan pointed out the apparent hypocrisy of Trump banning transgender people from the military when he had tweeted his support for the LGBTQ community only a week ago.

Ahead of his visit to the UK, The Sun asked the president about Meghan's past remarks. "The royal family is really nice", Trump told ITV.

Even in what was expected to be a softball interview, Trump stumbled.

Despite there existing a tape recording of the exchange, Trump denied replying: "I didn't know that".

"I enlisted in the military ... but did not think the war in Iraq was a great idea". There might be a fun celebration in store for the family of three, but first, Harry had royal duties to attend to. The White House official also pointed out the president said very nice things about the duchess including that he thought she would do an excellent job. Trump met Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles on Monday and was treated to a banquet at Buckingham Palace. As a member of the British royal family, Meghan has already strayed further into political territory than others have - for instance, by speaking out against racism, which she has faced personally in recent months.
