The dragon queen's confidante has been a fan favorite since she first appeared in season 3 of the hit HBO show.

HBO took the onslaught of memes in good humour, acknowledging the error with a tweet from the official Game of Thrones account. "Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea", HBO said in a press release on Monday. The cup was edited out of the show after it became a sensation on Twitter, where detail-oriented fans posted evidence of the modern-day vessel from the fourth episode this season, titled "The Last of the Starks".

Bernie Caulfield, an executive producer on the show told WNYC radio: "We're sorry!"

The blunder has been an embarrassment for HBO and its flagship original series, especially as it comes down the home stretch in its final season, but the boo-boo isn't likely to damage the "Game of Thrones" brand in the long run.

Lady Gaga's Met Gala 'prep' is another reason why we love her
Every year, the Metropolitan Museum of Art hosts the Costume Institute Gala - known colloquially as the Met Gala . However, lately she has toned it down a bit, courtesy her film " A Star is Born ", which even won her an Oscar.

In this week's "Game Revealed", we find out that showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff actually appear in Episode 4, dressed in beards and fur as Wildlings, joining Tormund Giantsbane as he toasts Jon Snow. The coffee cup was removed from the shot on HBO Go and HBO Now, as spotted earlier Tuesday by The Verge.

Nathalie Emmanuel has penned an emotional farewell to Game of Thrones after her character was killed off on Sunday night's episode. The tweet read that the coffee giant is "surprised" Daenarys Targaryen (played by Emilia Clarke) did not order a Dragon Drink.

The coffee cup can still be seen on Hotstar, as of when this story was published. Let's just hope the show does not have a How I Met Your Mother-esque ending in store for us. "In the books Westeros only has Peet's coffee, while Starbucks can only be found in eastern parts of Essos and-" wrote user Shayne Topp. "I guess I was relieved to not be doing 11 weeks of night shoots but there's a part of me that's a little sad Missandei didn't throw down in the battle". This was like a paper Starbucks coffee cup.

I mean come on, at least lean into it and say that Daenerys is a Pumpkin Spice Latte stan like the rest of us.
