Hurricane Florence rapidly formed into a powerful Category 4 storm Monday as it churned towards the U.S. East Coast.

A three-minute video that NASA published Wednesday morning shows Hurricane Florence from a space-station's-eye view, as a camera some 250 miles above earth pans slowly over the storm.

Hurricane Florence is predicted to slam into the US East Coast as an "extremely risky major hurricane" overnight on Thursday.

NASA's Aqua satellite caught Hurricane Florence developing an eye Sunday as the storm ramped up its intensity. No matter what track it takes, Hurricane Florence will be weakening before it reaches New Jersey; however, Rowan is in for a week of gray skies and continued rainfall.

Florence is expected to make landfall in the Carolinas early Friday, bringing with it 20-30 inches of rain to North Carolina, and almost 40 inches to SC, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Three Times First Lady of Pakistan: Kulsoom Nawaz
Referring to her mother, Maryam Nawaz had said that she had dauntlessly challenged a usurper when "most men did not". Due to her illness, Kulsoom was unable to return and formally take oath as a member of the National Assembly.

Gerst said Hurricane Florence was so enormous, with a width of more than 500 miles (804 kilometres), that he "could only capture her with a super wide-angle lens".

The hurricane, which has already caused several Week 3 college football games to be rescheduled, postponed or canceled, is expected to make landfall sometime this weekend.

The element will lead to a "life-threatening storm surges, exceptionally strong heavy rains and destructive winds", they say.

When the space station flew over the storm's menacing eye, Gerst took this photo. SC and North Carolina are evacuating people living in vulnerable areas along the coast.

The NASA astronaut Ricky Arnold has also been following the giant storm.
