Scudamore has overseen the value of television rights soaring 12-fold to more than 8 billion pounds ($11 billion), cementing the competition's status as the richest football league in the world.
The Premier League have now confirmed that all the live TV packages to show PL games live in the United Kingdom from 2019-2022, have now been concluded.
Amazon's Prime Video service will air two rounds of live matches each season in Britain - not internationally - in a three-year deal from 2019, representing 20 games each season during a midweek program in early December and another around Christmas.
It will show all 10 fixtures over one bank holiday of matches and another 10 during one midweek fixture programme.
BT also announced it had picked up the remaining package of 20 matches on Thursday.
The grand 2019-2022 Premier League TV rights meat raffle is taking place today and the big news is that Amazon have come hulking into the mix by snaffling up one of the final two broadcast packages.
In Ireland, the League has concluded the sale of 233 live matches per season split into eight packages of rights, the same seven packages of rights as in the United Kingdom and an additional package of 33 Saturday 15:00 matches. It will all be at no extra cost.
Those wishing to watch the games will require a subscription to Amazon Prime UK, which now costs £79 per year or £7.99 per month. We live in hope.
The company has more than 100 million Prime subscribers around the world, including several million in Britain. From 2019-20, the start of the next three-year rights cycle, any increase in the current worldwide rights package, which is inevitable, will be distributed according to league position.
"We are extremely pleased that Sky Sports, BT Sport and Amazon have invested in these rights and all view the Premier League and our clubs as vital parts of their live sports offerings", Premier League Executive Chairman Richard Scudamore said.
The deal underlines Amazon's ambition to take on traditional pay-TV broadcasters in the multi-billion dollar battle for sports rights.
What does this mean for the future of Premier League broadcasting?
But the format of the Premier League's auction makes it easier for digital media companies to compete.
Sky and BT will nevertheless show the vast majority of live matches, with 128 and 52 - BT having been awarded the other package up for grabs on Thursday of 20 games at a reported cost of £90 million - respectively.
