Martinez died the next day from his injuries.

Art Del Cueto, national spokesman for the union, said Wednesday the FBI's comments were preliminary.

Border Patrol pallbearers carry Border Patrol agent Rogelio Martinez to a graveside service at Restlawn Cemetery, Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017 in El Paso, Texas. Disoriented and unsure of his location, Garland told the dispatcher that he and Martinez were injured.

"I think we ran into a culvert", Agent Stephen Garland told a Border Patrol dispatcher the night before Martinez died. This fact matters because ever since Martinez was found with a fractured skull in a West Texas culvert, conservative lawmakers and media outlets have eagerly blamed undocumented immigrants for his death.

Immediately after Martinez was found, President Trump and the Border Patrol's union suggested that the two agents were attacked by migrants or smugglers going through the area. "We will, and must, build the Wall!".

"We believe it was an assault on our agents and a murder of one of our agents and an attempted murder of another", he said.

Sen. Ted Cruz also seized on the agent's death in calling for increased border enforcement.

The FBI continues to offer a reward of up to $50,000 for information on the case and provides this number: 915-832-5000 to call with information.

President Donald Trump used the death of a Border Patrol agent last November to call for his wall across the USA southern border but the Federal Bureau of Investigation announced on Wednesday there is no evidence the man's death was a homicide.

No disagreements with Russian Federation over Syria operation: Turkish FM
These refugees, Ambassador Yuceer noted, are forced to leave Syria for many reasons among them, the repressive regime of Assad. The U.K. -based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said that more than 70 people were killed in Tuesday's attacks.

Agent Rogelio Martinez, 36, was found clinging to life and his partner severely injured at the bottom of a culvert in a remote part of Texas 110 miles southeast of El Paso on November 18. Garland can't remember, and the months long investigation by the FBI hasn't led to any conclusions or suspects.

When news broke on the morning of November 19, some officials suspected that neither Martinez or his unnamed partner had been attacked.

Concentrated investigative activities and canvasses for witnesses and evidence have taken place across the United States. The FBI claims that Agent Martinez and his partner were on-duty and conducting routine checks of the area culverts.

To date, none of the 650 interviews, search locations, evidence collected or analyzed have produced any evidence that support the existence of a scuffle, altercation, or attack on November 18, 2017. "There were no defensive wounds" on Martinez and Garland and "there was no third-party blood or DNA evidence from the scene or from the agents' clothing", reads a memo sent by US Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Kevin McAleenan.

The dispatcher told the agent to get back into his vehicle and flick on his emergency lights so that first responders could easily locate them.

During the investigation, the F.B.I. said that it identified two "persons of interest", but that a forensic analysis could not link them to the episode.

The Medical Examiner was not, however, able to determine the manner of death - meaning that an accidental death was not ruled out after autopsy.

But that part of the investigation only led to a smuggling of an illegal alien indictment.

Shortly after Mr Martinez's death, Culberson County Sheriff Oscar Carrillo cast doubt on the notion that the agent had died in an attack.
