Kenyan authorities have lifted the ban on NTV and KTN which can now be accessible on air after a ban on four TV stations for attempting to broadcast the mock inauguration of opposition leader Raila Odinga.

Odinga, presidential candidate for the leading opposition coalition, NASA, rejected Uhuru Kenyatta's victory in the country's presidential election, after a court ordered a rerun of the August 8 election.

Two opposition lawmakers present at the "swearing in" a week ago were arrested and later released.

Miguna has been in police custody since Friday morning when he was arrested dramatically from his Runda house, which was extensively damaged.

The Judge said that if Miguna was not availed, an explanation should be presented failure to which there will be punishment for contempt and defying court orders.

The government was not served with the court order on Thursday afternoon because of a delay at the court registrar's office, Okiya Omtatah, an activist who filed the High Court case and won the lifting of the suspension, told Reuters. His supporters in the opposition stronghold of Kisumu city in western Kenya clashed with police, who fired tear gas at them.

He also lauded his government's initiatives claiming that Karnataka is the first in starting multi-sector start-up policy. Since Ramakrishna Hegde in 1985, no other Chief Minister has pulled off the uphill task of coming back to power.

Witness Carlos Ouma said a county revenue collector was killed by a stray bullet after police fired into the air to disperse demonstrators in nearby Ahero, Miguna's home town.

Odinga ran against Kenyatta in an election last August which was nullified by the Supreme Court on procedural grounds.

They had wanted wanted Minority leader, John Mbadi, and other NASA leasers to go to Kajiado and stop addressing the press in Nairobi on Miguna's release. Kenyatta won a repeat poll in October after Odinga boycotted it, saying it would not be fair.

The government took three private television channels off the air on Tuesday as they began to cover of the opposition ceremony.

Judge Kimaru on Monday 5 February sent an order to Inspector General of police Joseph Boinnet and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to arraign Miguna in court at 2 pm.
