Snapchat's videos can now be shared outside the app

Apparently, Snapchat users are annoyed that Stories from friends who follow them back are now disjointed through the inbox with messages threads in between.

First, users should make sure that they have the newest version of Snapchat as well as the redesigned version of the app.

There is a bit of a catch, and it's a big one: this feature isn't available for all Stories, only for those that the company deems fit.

It is expected that this new feature will go live to users running the redesigned Snapchat app, also there will be test carried in markets like Australia and Canada.

The new feature which will be released in a future update will notify users when someone has taken a screenshot or screen recording of your stories.

According to TechCrunch report, "Stories eligible for sharing right now include those official stories and our stories found in the discover tab, as well as search stories".

Select "Share Story" and then choose how you'd like to share it outside of Snapchat - by text, e-mail, or posting to other platforms. The company said Our Stories and Search Stories will be available outside of the Snapchat app for 30 days, while Official Stories (posted by top influencers on the platform) will be available outside of Snapchat for 24 hours. You can find Our Stories by swiping left to the Discover screen and tapping on the Our Story you'd like to watch, or by using search. The company also added that it is not ruling out monetization of the stories.

More than 10 million Brits use Snapchat every day, which accounts for around 25% of all the smartphone users in the country. First, there's Official Stories - these are from a small group of notable Snapchatters, including top celebs like Phillip Schofield, Dua Lipa, Chris Froome, Stormzy, Anthony Joshua, Joe Wicks, Millie Bobby Brown, Rita Ora, and Niall Horan.
