  • Princess Eugenie Announces Engagement to Boyfriend Jack Brooksbank!

Prince Harry's cousin, Princess Eugenie, and her new fiancé, Jack Brooksbank, announced their engagement and released celebratory portraits.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: "The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh are very pleased and wish the couple all the best".

Princess Eugenie of York is Prince Charles' niece.

She is the second daughter of Prince Andrew, the queen's third child who is known as the Duke of York.

Next: When and where she said 'yes'.

Shortly after their announcement, Eugenie and Jack posed for their official engagement photos, which were taken in the Picture Gallery in Buckingham Palace.

Princess Eugenie said: "We met when I was 20 and Jack was 24 and we fell in love and we have the same passions and drive for life". Brooksbank previously managed the club Mahiki, which is frequented by the rich and famous.

7 signs Cory Booker is getting ready to run for president
Booker said he thinks Nielsen may have lied to protect her job. 'When you're in that room, it's a sacred space in our country. Nielsen said what struck her during the meeting was "the general profanity that was used in the room by nearly everyone".

The couple gave an interview on Monday to BBC - The One Show where Brooksbank, a brand ambassador for Casamigos tequila, said he found an engagement ring that reminded him of Eugenie.

Yes, that's right, he picked a magic ring, because it reminds him of his colourful future wife.

Shortly after posing for the official photos, the couple gave an interview where Princess Eugenie gushed about Brooksbank's romantic proposal in Nicaragua at sunset with "a lovely volcano" in the background. The 27-year-old royal also wore a floral Erdem dress and Jimmy Choo shoes, People reports.

Princess Euginie's sapphire engagement ring is reminiscent of Kate Middleton's sapphire ring and holds a striking resemblance to Euginie's mother's engagement ring, perhaps as a tribute to the Dutchess of York. Rumors had been flying for more than a year that they were set to be engaged. That ring is of course another attractive sapphire surrounded by diamonds.

Prince Andrew and Sarah married in 1986.

"Jack is an absolutely outstanding young man and Eugenie and he have got to know each other over a number of years", he said. "I was over the moon, crying". Both couples have chosen St George's Chapel in Windsor for their wedding.
