Tonya Harding: After infamous Kerrigan attack, where is she now

Tonya Harding's life is the subject of "I, Tonya".

U.S. figure skaters Tonya Harding (L) and Nancy Kerrigan avoid each other during a training session in Hamar, Norway, during the Winter Olympics.

Speaking briefly with the Boston Globe this week, Kerrigan revealed that she hasn't seen the film - and it doesn't sound like she plans on seeing it anytime soon.

Both I, Tonya and the Times profile blame the scandal on abuse Harding received from not just her mother and ex-husband, but also from the media.

"You can't push me that far anymore 'cause I've been nothing. I don't want her anywhere near my son", Harding said. She may well have been more deeply involved than that; the Federal Bureau of Investigation found a paper in her handwriting that passed along details of Kerrigan's practice location and schedule to others involved in the crime.

The ice still feels like home to Tonya Harding.

Bringing up the attack once more, Morgan pressed, "You did know what was happening, what they were planning to do didn't you?"

Now, with the success of I, Tonya and wider exposure the film is getting thanks to the film's accolades and awards season buzz, the person at the center of the attack is breaking her silence.

"I did however overhear them talking about stuff", Harding said.

CES 2018: Project Linda announced to turn Razer Phone into a laptop
It'll be a shame to see Project Linda go to docks, but even if Razer comes up with the commercial launch, it won't be cheap. Looking at the dimensions of the trackpad surface area, it looks like you can only dock the Razer Phone and nothing else.

Morgan ended up having the last word when he abruptly concluded the interview with, "Ok we'll leave it there".

The onetime skating star is the focus of the big-screen film "I, Tonya".

She has the steely-eyed resolve to prove all her critics wrong, especially her pushy mother (Allison Janney, who skates away with the movie), a chain-smoking monster in a thrift-store fur coat and a pageboy haircut that suggests a disturbing affinity for Dorothy Hamill.

It was the cry heard around the world, when a metal baton struck elite figure skater Nancy Kerrigan in the knee.

In the interview with ABC, Golden said that "Harding was the youngest of four children".

All the newfound attention is pushing Harding to sharpen her skills on the ice.

It was during the 1991 Nationals when Harding became the first American woman to land a triple axel jump in competition. Kerrigan was able to compete in the Olympics, however, and won silver, while Harding finished eighth.

Harding gained infamy in 1994 when her US figure-skating rival, Nancy Kerrigan, was clubbed on her right knee at a practice session for the USA championships. In one instance depicted in the film, Golden throws a steak knife at her daughter, which lodges in Harding's arm. Harding had released a statement through her attorney categorically denying all accusations that she was involved in the assault on skater Nancy Kerrigan.

Authorities quickly unraveled the plot and arrested Gillooly, Eckhardt and Stant, who all served time for their roles. "Tonya herself called us trailer trash". From that point, Gillespie tracks Tonya's slippery path, from the skater's abusive childhood to her downfall while still in her 20s.
