SpaceX now can look forward to its next major test for the year - launching its huge heavy-duty rocket for the first time ever.

The Falcon 9 rocket is set to blast-off at 8 p.m. ET from the company's launch pad at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.

The Zuma launch was initially planned for November, but was delayed due to issues with the fairing, which houses the payload on its way to being deployed into orbit around Earth.

SpaceX has confirmed they will be attempting to launch a Falcon 9 rocket with the Zuma spacecraft aboard on Sunday.

The current weather forecast predicts an 80 percent chance of favorable launch conditions.

SpaceX yesterday blasted off a secretive USA government payload known as Zuma, a mission whose nature - and the agency behind it - remains a mystery.
