Former US Marine Planned ISIS-inspired Christmas Terror Attack in San Francisco

  • Federal authorities on Friday Dec. 22 2017 charged a 26-year-old Modesto man with planning a Christmas terror attack on San Francisco’s Pier 39

The FBI said a Modesto man who espoused support for Islamic State planned a Christmas suicide attack on San Francisco's Pier 39, a popular tourist destination.

Mr. Jameson is charged with attempting to provide material support to ISIS, says U.S. Attorney Phillip Talbert.

Jameson also said he would like to use explosives to "funnel" people on the crowded pier into a smaller area, according to the agent.

The terror plot seemed to unravel earlier this week. "May Allah grant him Jannah firtuidus Amin", he said of New York City truck terrorist Sayfullo Saipov, indicating that he hoped Saipov would enter paradise as a reward for attacking the infidels.

The FBI also discovered a handgun along with ammunition.

Investigators said he told them he had the money it would take to go to Syria to join ISIS but later he began to talk about carrying out some kind of attack in the USA, using skills he learned in the Marine Corps.

Jameson also "liked" and "loved" multiple pro-ISIS and pro-terrorism Facebook posts during the FBI's investigation, the complaint stated.

Atlanta airport power outage impacts MLU passengers
This morning "five flights were diverted to Miami and Tampa because of our fog", said airport spokeswoman Victoria Moreland. With no announcement system working, and few uniformed airline employees available, they said they did not know what to do.

Jameson also reportedly spoke approvingly of the attack on a Christmas party by a husband-and-wife jihadi team in San Bernardino in December 2015 and suggested his operation would include vehicles, explosives, and firearms.

In terms of how he could support ISIS' cause, Jameson offered funding, referred to his previous military experience - training in "combat" and the use of M-16 and AK-47 rifles - and said he could "blend in" or "shock and awe", according to the documents. You all have brought this upon yourselves.

The FBI complaint said he had expressed his support of attacks, including the October 31 truck attack in NY.

"Each and every Kuffar in this Nationalistic, Godless society has a hand in this", the note read. In a letter found there, Jameson wrote, "You've Allowed Donald J Trump to give away [Jerusalem] to the Jews". "Allahu Akbar! Abdallah abu Everitt ibn Gordon al-Amriki".

"[God willing], one day I can", Jameson added. "Both you and he are wrong, it belongs to the [Muslims]". That source had online conversations with Jameson, during which the suspect allegedly expressed a desire to take part in activities including terrorism in the name of Islam.

Investigators say Jameson, a former marine, met with an Federal Bureau of Investigation agent posing as a member of ISIS and described his plan to carry out an attack in San Francisco the week leading up to Christmas.
