If Floyd Mayweather does the unthinkable and crosses into MMA, UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson suggests he start small, literally.

Rogan explained that he text UFC President Dana White and asked if the rumors were true, to which White responded, "Yeah, I told him he's fu*&ing insane, but he wants to do it anyways". White's comments come just weeks after Mayweather said he had spoken to the UFC and could "make $1 billion" through a three or four fight deal.

"I never said I was going to fight in the UFC", the 41-year-old told Fight Hype. Mayweather versus McGregor f****** happened. Could and would do is different things. Tony Ferguson was the top candidate to fight McGregor on UFC 219, but plans for the bout were derailed after Ferguson was sidelined due to an elbow injury that required surgery early this month. "It's real. He was talking about [boxing] Conor McGregor". The reality is, Floyd Mayweather is never coming to UFC. "If I chose to get in the UFC and fight three fights or fight four fights and then fight Conor McGregor, I could make a billion dollars. He usually tips his hand when he's in the media and then that sh-t ends up happening". But I'm saying, what I could do is make a billion dollars quick if I wanted to do that.

Nokia 9 Clears FCC Certification in the US, reveals specifications

UFC president Dana White claimed on Wednesday that the promotion had held discussions with Mayweather, telling ESPN that it was a "realistic possibility" that the boxing icon could step inside the octagon. "Dana told me that Floyd wants to make a deal in the UFC".

Mayweather's last fight was against the UFC's lightweight champion Conor McGregor in August where he took his unbeaten record to 50-0 defeating the Irishman in the 10th round in Las Vegas. That's what I was saying. Obviously it's mixed martial arts, but I could even do a handicap, I don't even need to grapple with him, I don't even need to go to ground at all.

However, to get an MMA fight sanctioned by a commission would prove to be even more hard considering that Mayweather has no experience whatsoever in MMA and would be at a significant disadvantage in the Octagon. That's what I don't look forward to doing. "That's what I am saying". That's not what I said.
