  • MS police hail boy as hero for calling 911 on Grinch

A FIVE-year-old boy phoned 911 over the weekend to report the Grinch - ie the Christmas-hating character from How The Grinch Stole Christmas - to the proper authorities in Byram, Mississippi.

Local officer Lauren Develle heard about TyLon's concerns and paid him a visit at home to let him know they would take the Grinch to jail if he tried to steal his Christmas. After watching Dr. Suess' "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" for the first time, TyLon made a decision to call for backup. "My 5 year old brother called the police and said that the Grinch is stealing people Christmas and he don't want him to steal his so they really came to our house!" "Every Christmas morning, my dad wears these Grinch trousers", she said with a smile on Sunday.

Christmas is a time for cheer and goodwill, and when one little boy thought the season could be in serious jeopardy, he took matters into his own hands. "Because the Grinch is gonna steal Christmas, okay?"

After speaking with Develle, TyLon felt a little better.

Putin praises Trump, blames 'spy mania' for meddling claims
He said Mr Trump had made "some fairly serious achievements", pointing specifically to the sharp rise in USA stock markets. The White House said Trump thanked Putin for "acknowledging America's strong economic performance".

In his five-star review posted to the Byram Police Department's Facebook page, TyLon's big brother, TeDera Graves II, a USAF airman, said, "It's the little things like this that go unnoticed, especially in society today, with what police officers do". Byram's police chief, Luke Thompson, encouraged him to return when he was 21 to apply to become an official part of the force.

On Monday, TyLon got his wish and arrested the Grinch. "You have saved the day", The Clarion-Ledger reported.

"When they call me and they say it's going so fast and they have a gun, I'm going to chase them so fast", Tylon said.
