There are good starts to games, and then there was what we saw from the Boston Celtics who drained their first 10 shots of the night against IN on Monday night. "We just have to continue to get better".

Boston then fouled Victor Oladipo, who converted two free throws to yet again increase Indiana's lead to four, 111-107 with 0:19 to go. The Celtics played the foul game, getting a layup by Marcus Smart and a 3-pointer from Irving to keep it a unsafe one-possession game.

Kyrie Irving led the Celtics with 30 points.

"That was one hell of a of a game to be a part of", Irving said.

Boston became the first team this season to win after trailing by at least five points with 30 seconds or less to play.

But for Boston, Kyrie Irving was an almost unstoppable offensive force, racking up 30 points and passing out four assists as the Celtics managed steal a win. The Pacers tied it for the first time since the opening tip at 100 on Oladipos three-point play with less than two minutes left in the game. With less than a minute remaining, Oladipo hit a 3-pointer that gave IN its first lead of the game and a layup that stretched the Pacers' lead to 107-102 with 31 seconds left.

"We got fortunate. Terry made a great play", Boston head coach Brad Stevens said.

- Marcus Smart (15 points) posted a ideal 4-for-4 line from beyond the arc.

The Pacers cut the deficit to single digits in the third quarter and rallied late in the fourth.

"We have to figure out a way to get off to better starts".

The league-leading Houston Rockets stretched their win streak to 14 games with a 120-99 rout of visiting Utah as Eric Gordon scored 33 points, making a career-high seven 3-pointers, and James Harden added 26 points, six rebounds and six assists with Chris Paul contributing 18 points, nine rebounds and 10 assists.

"It's a 48-minute game and we just lost our composure", IN coach Nate McMillan said of the poor execution. After Lance Stephenson hit a pair of free throws to extend Indiana's lead to 109-105, Marcus Smart answered right back for the Celtics, converting a six-foot floater to narrow the lead to two yet again. The Celtics finished the game shooting 55 percent from the floor on 44 of 79.

Frank Kaminsky equalled his season-high tally of 24 points in Charlotte's 109-91 victory over the New York Knicks.

Irving scored eight points during the final 1:37.

After successfully defending the Celtics and securing the rebound, the ball found its way back into the hands of Oladipo, whose 3-point shot sailed directly through the center of basket, putting the Pacers up by three with 52.2 seconds left in the game.
