  • Morrissey Twitter Defend Weinstein Spacey

Morrissey has come out to defend Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey in a recent interview and people are not very happy about it.

Spacey has been dropped from his TV drama House of Cards and new film All The Money In The World after multiple allegations of sexual assault and harassment were made against him last month following claims he pinned Star Trek: Discovery actor Anthony Rapp to a bed when he was 14.

While the charges being made are far, far more serious that this simplification, he did go on and qualify things by adding "Of course, there are extreme cases, rape is disgusting, every physical attack is repulsive".

As far as I know, he was in a bedroom with a 14-year-old.

Morrissey believes one of Kevin Spacey's accusers made up his account of being sexually harassed by the Oscar-winning actor when he was aged 14. He was wondering where the boy's parents were. "One wonders if the boy did not know what would happen", Morrissey said. Never. I always knew what could happen. If you're in someone's bedroom, you have to know where it could lead.

"Because of that, all of that doesn't seem very credible to me. It seems to me that Spacey has been attacked unncessarily".

George Clooney Returning to TV With Adaptation of 'Catch-22'
Catch-22, considered one of the most influential books of the 20th century, follows the exploits of Captain John Yossarian, a U.S. Catch-22 is the first acting gig for George in quite some time, as his last significant appearance was in 2016's Money Monster .

"People know exactly what's going on", he reportedly said when asked about Weinstein, "and they play along".

Since the initial misconduct story broke, over 50 women have claimed that they were victims of Weinstein's sexual abuse, with allegations ranging from inappropriate behavior to rape. But if everything went well, and if it had given them a great career, they would not talk about it.

'Afterwards they find it embarrassing or they didn't like it. But in very many of these cases, you look at the circumstances and you think that the person, who is called a victim, is simply disappointed'.

"Throughout the history of music and rock "n" roll there have been musicians who have slept with their groupies".

I was dragged into the room'. All of the allegations have involved men groping, molesting and assaulting others or exposing themselves and masturbating in front of subordinates. If you go through the history, nearly everyone is guilty of sleeping with minors.

Then again, we really shouldn't be surprised by anything Morrissey says.
