She also singled out Wisconsin, a state she lost, and accused Republicans there of voter suppression through things like voter ID laws, which require voters to show identification to vote.

President Donald Trump called out Hillary Clinton on Twitter early Saturday, once again trotting out the "Crooked Hillary" nickname and branding her the "worst (and biggest) loser of all time".

"Hillary, get on with your life and give it another try in three years", he added.

"I think it was one of the major contributors to the outcome", she said.

She suggested that she believes the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians, something Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team has been investigating but the president has flatly denied.

But Clinton recently suggested to Mother Jones that Russian government interference undermined the "legitimacy" of Trump's win. Clinton has said she will not run for office again.

She positions herself as extremely anxious about the integrity of future elections, given what she believes happened to her, but would Clinton be so concerned with voter suppression and "weaponized misinformation" if she had won last November?

Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server during her tenure as secretary of State has always been the subject of controversy and an FBI investigation.

Trump has repeatedly denied his campaign colluded with Russian Federation and has questioned the US intelligence community assessment that Russian Federation worked to interfere in the presidential election to defeat Clinton and to help Trump.

"He didn't tweet about it, he got to work about it and he actually got it done", she said of former President Clinton.

"Would you completely rule out questioning the legitimacy of this election if we learn that the Russian interference in the election is even deeper than we know now?"
