Rampage Trailer Is Light On The Carnage And Heavy On The Story

  • Rampage movie trailer highlights an explosive concrete jungle

The actor then noted that the Rampage movie trailer will drop Thursday, November 16 at 5 p.m. ET.

The film stars human charisma generator Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Davis Okoye, a man who befriends a giant ape because animals "get him" (in a way humans don't, presumably). Regardless, the movie does look like it could make for a fun couple of hours at the theater, thanks to the over-the-top action, comedic delivery from the main cast, and the novelty of seeing these giant monsters come to life on the big screen. "My best friend is a rare albino gorilla named George". "I love animals because they're honest". This is the culmination of all the DC Extended Universe films coming together for the first time and there is a lot riding on this project.

Inspired by the 1980s video game, Rampage stars Johnson as a primatologist who shares a close bond with George, a remarkably intelligent silverback gorilla, until a rogue genetic experiment transforms the ape into a big, raging monster. You can check the Rock's social media accounts to catch the first glimpse of the trailer. Things go from bad to worse when it's discovered that the rogue trial had a ripple effect and created other genetically altered alpha predators.

GameStop temporarily halts the new PowerPass rental subscriptions
PowerPass has undergone a soft launch since its reveal in October with a full public launch slated to occur on November 19. That means any in-store advertisements for PowerPass have been removed and put in storage until further notice.

Rampage is directed by Brad Peyton and also stars Naomie Harris, Malin Akerman, Jake Lacy, Joe Manganiello, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

We'll know whether Rampage somehow escapes the curse of the game adaptation when it releases on April 20, 2018.

On the one hand, having Dwayne Johnson's character want to save his gorilla friend adds a nice emotional undercurrent to a standard disaster pic.
