'Justice League' finally gets an official Rotten Tomatoes score

  • Rotten Tomatoes will delay the release of its Justice League score, raising eyebrows

That puts it in the middle of pack of the five films in Warner Bros.' DC universe so far. This comprises of 136 reviews at this present stage and an average score of 5.2/10. As more audiences and critics view the movie, expect that number to change.

At one point, the score was accidentally leaked online and it was 48-percent, according to Slashfilm.

The rating in question was a disappointing 43 percent.

With the infamous Rotten Tomatoes mark already out in the open, we can now all move on, forget about the score, see Justice League and have our own thoughts about it, hopefully without the site's grade clouding our own judgment.

Despite the negative reviews and mediocre Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic scores, it looks like the film is still poised to do well at the box office. In any case, Warner Brothers appears to be on Brett Ratner's side in this one instance, taking an unprecedented precaution with its forthcoming tentpole flick, Justice League.

In the end, though, there is something ponderous and cumbersome about Justice League; the great revelation is very laborious and solemn and the tiresome post-credits sting is a microcosm of the film's disappointment. But it's certainly hard to ignore. And after the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was greeted to infamously negative reviews, there is even more sensitivity around Justice League's arrival.

Wonder Woman was certified "fresh" with 92 percent, becoming the highest rated superhero movie ever. Save for "Wonder Woman", they've all been met with bad reviews.

Variety said "Justice League", which cost an estimated $300 million to make, remains on track for "an impressive, but hardly heroic" opening weekend of $110 million at 4,040 North American locations.

Despite the decrease in Tomatometer score, Justice League is able to maintain its place within the DC Films' film series in regard to Rotten Tomatoes grade.

A film's Tomatometer score is visible when customers are buying tickets at large theater chains through Fandago.

The Daily Dot has contacted Rotten Tomatoes for comment. They chose to hold back the Tomatometer score until the day before the film's release, and release it to launch their new "See It / Skip It" video campaign.

The result will leave many fans deeply disappointed.
