Cornering and braking forces in excess of 3 Gs, an estimated top speed of almost 250 miles per hour and lap times faster than what many previously considered possible for a road-car-derived vehicle.

The AMR Pro gets smaller wheels (18-inch front and rear) to allow Michelin racing tyres to be fitted.

Called the AMR Pro, the hardcore hypercar is expected to boast a price tag of "above £3m" and will have "more power" than the standard road-going version, the magazine says.

Andy Palmer, Aston Martin CEO, added: "Valkyrie has always been about pushing the limits and redefining the possible".

According to Red Bull's simulations, the Valkyrie AMR Pro will "be capable of achieving performance to rival that of a contemporary F1 or LMP1 car".

Red Bull and Aston Martin have revealed the first look at the 250mph track-only version of the Adrian Newey-designed Valkyrie hypercar.

All that leads Aston and Red Bull to claim that the Valkyrie will be able to lap the world's major tracks in comparable times to today's F1 cars and LMP1 machines. The output of the Rimac Energy Recovery System remains unchanged, but its control systems will be re-programmed. The windshield is made from polycarbonate material, the carbon fiber bodywork is lighter and molded racing seats replace the standard ones.

The opportunity has also been taken to make further weight savings, both through the removal of extraneous items such as the heater/de-mister blower and infotainment screens fitted to the road auto, and through the fitment of new ultra-lightweight track-specific components.

"While it is endowed with extraordinary performance, it has always been vitally important to me that the Valkyrie functions well as a true road auto, and that naturally comes with some constraints", said Newey, who now splits his time between the F1 team and other Red Bull projects.

"However, with the track-only Valkyrie AMR Pro we have the freedom to create an extreme evolution that makes no such concessions". "It offers a level of track performance significantly beyond any previous two seat closed roof vehicle". The car's active aerodynamics will be modified for track usage as well.

CEO Andy Palmer had previously mentioned the Valkyrie would see a 150-unit run capped off by a 25-unit track auto series, but in mid-November the automaker revealed how those track cars would be honed by the Red Bull racing team.

Aston Martin does confirm some of the performance gains out on the tarmac though. It's a remarkable project. Granted, it doesn't matter - if you wanted to get one of these you're already too late.

Owners will have access to the same training facilities as the Red Bull Racing drivers to cope with the additional strain the auto puts on their bodies.
