Call of Duty: WW2 developer Sledgehammer accidentally gave all players double XP from the launch of the game - and have only now turned it off.

For gamers who are planning to play Call of Duty: WWII for a year, it doesn't make sense to wait and buy the DLC separately or even to skip one or two of them since that will limit the matchmaking as you get split into a smaller and smaller pool. The space, dubbed the Headquarters, is meant to hold up to 48 players, allowing them to customise load-outs and hang out with one another. Post-match disconnects, on the other hand, are also having a impact on players trying to complete in-game challenges.

Check out the videos below and tell us what you think. "As a result, we moved to [peer-to-peer] servers".

While our previous Game Update which released early Friday solved several critical needs, unfortunately, it also had an adverse effect on server performance. Overall, the game is stable, however we know that P2P brings things like Host Migrations and other issues that make for inconsistent gameplay experiences.

IPhone X Face ID security software apparently tricked by 3D printed mask
Face ID uses artificial intelligence to distinguish real faces from images, videos or masks, but it "learns" a face over time. The hack was cheap - Bkav estimates the total cost in materials for a face to hoodwink Face ID was around $150.

For the time being, fixing Headquarters is low priority for Sledgehammer, and while it will get to fixing the social space, it is now focusing on "the most pressing concerns first".

Call of Duty WW2 may have its problems, but it doesn't appear to have affected sales. But whether you thought the XP earned seemed too low, too high, or just right, you were actually earning double XP the entire time, a mistake confirmed by Sledgehammer Games' Michael Condrey. But we get it, headquarters is best enjoyed with a thriving, fully populated social community interacting together.

The team has a PC Call of Duty: WWII update ready, but they want to address the issues stemming from the update on consoles before potentially pushing out an update with more problems to PC users. For now, so long as players don't drop connection or lose stats, being alone in a social area is a small price to pay.
