While the bombshell child molestation allegations made against Judge Roy Moore have commanded headlines since they broke Thursday, it's not yet clear what affect they might have on his candidacy for the Alabama Senate seat.

As pressure on Moore grew, it emerged from a Federal Election Commission filing that the National Republican Senatorial Committee is ending its fundraising agreement with him.

This, even as Moore's would-be Republican colleagues have called on him to quit the race if the allegations were true.

In Washington, Republican senators responded to the report with shock and dismay, telling reporters that if the claims were true, Moore should exit the race immediately.

The NRSC's removal from the account is the most concrete step taken to date to create distance between the national Republican Party and the Moore campaign.

Jerry Moore firmly denied the allegations against his brother and drew an analogy between his situation and the persecution of Jesus Christ, Savidge reported Friday in an interview with CNN's John Berman. Much of the Republican establishment - including McConnell and President Donald Trump - supported odd, while the GOP's more conservative flank - including former Trump strategist Steve Bannon - backed Moore.

"I'm prepping my candidate for what he is going to say if he is asked", said one Republican campaign manager for a top 2018 race, who asked to speak anonymously to not draw attention to race.

Republicans could get behind a write-in candidate, such as Sen.

Netflix's Marvel Series May Be Moving to New Disney Streaming Service
In August, Disney announced it would acquire a majority share in the BamTech media company to help launch both streaming services. Media networks revenues in the quarter fell by 3 percent to $5.5 billion, with operating income down 12 percent to $1.5 billion.

In a one-sentence statement Thursday, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says: "If these allegations are true, he must step aside".

An Alabama state official is citing the Bible to defend the Republican U.S. Senate candidate accused of sexual advances on girls. He adds, "If these allegations are found to be true, Roy Moore must drop out of the Alabama special Senate election". "They became parents of Jesus".

That seems to foreclose any possibility of Moore stepping aside, and thus the only chance to get his name removed from the ballot before the December 12 general election, which was a long shot to begin with given state laws. Moore bested the interim senator, Luther Strange, in a primary and runoff.

In response to the allegations, Becky Ashley said: "I don't believe them at all". Moore's run was promoted by former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, whose support put him at odds with Trump.

Corfman told the Washington Post on Thursday that a 32-year-old Moore gave her alcohol, took off her clothes and molested her when she was 14 years old in 1979.

"Take Joseph and Mary", he told the Washington Examiner. Mary was a teenager and Joseph was an adult carpenter. "Even the Washington Post report says that he never had sexual intercourse with any of the girls and never attempted sexual intercourse".

Others in Alabama came to Moore's defense.

Alabama political strategist David Mowery, who has worked for candidates of both parties, said the chance of Moore bowing out of the race was "less than zero", and that it was nearly as improbable for state party officials to abandon him in favor of a last-minute write-in candidate.
