Everton Not Poised To Approach Burnley For Sean Dyche Yet

01 November, 2017, 00:57 | Author: Lamar Ellis
  • 'Sean Dyche leaving would be a blow,' says Burnley's Stephen Ward

Dyche is reaping the rewards of the loyalty Burnley showed him when they were relegated, and after he signed a new contract in February 2016, fans will be hoping the 46-year-old continues his fine work at the club.

Sean Dyche continues to be linked with the vacant Everton job. That's my focus and my team's focus.

He has twice guided the Clarets into the Premier League and the club is now sitting in seventh place after an excellent start to the season, including a 1-0 win over Everton at Goodison Park.

"It's not something we're thinking about right now (shortlist of replacements), there is one person on our list and that is Sean Dyche".

"I just keep getting on with my job, simple as that", Dyche told Sky Sports, when asked what he would do if a call came in from Everton.

Clarets boss Dyche is the third longest-serving manager in the Premier League - behind only Arsene Wenger at Arsenal and his Burnley predecessor Eddie Howe at Bournemouth - having taken over a team in the bottom half of the Championship in October 2012. But respect has to be earned at all clubs and it has been earned here over a five-year period.

Kevin Spacey pilloried for response to sex assault claim
One of the streaming service's most critically acclaimed and popular shows will be over after its upcoming sixth season. He had never disclosed his sexuality before but said Rapp's story encouraged him to speak.

"Sean Dyche could easily be in that position next season".

They have gathered eight points from their first five away matches, with wins at champions Chelsea and Everton as well as draws at Liverpool and Tottenham.

Lowton said: "The gaffer's done a great job since he's been here". They should be happy with him if they get him and view his appointment with an open mind.

All of this is reasonable stab-in-the-dark stuff, educated guesses of varying degrees, it just gets annoying that TMW have to slap "esclusiva" on everything and try and keep up a pretence they've got any idea what's happening at Everton and/or Burnley.

"It's been a fantastic start. We keep that clarity of thought and I keep that clarity of thought myself".

"We work hard during the week but that's the bare minimum he wants on a match-day and then he gives us that freedom to go and play football".
