Meijer, a Midwestern chain similar to Walmart (one of the food-selling chains affected in the recall), recalled nearly 20 different store brand produce items from its 235 supercenters and grocery stores in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin. A California company has recalled many of its vegetable products due to a possible listeria contamination. There haven't been any reported cases of people falling ill from consuming any contaminated product, but it's better to be safe than sorry, of course.

Here is a complete list of all products recalled by Mann Packing.

The recalled product has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. For recalled products distributed at retail and foodservice, product names, UPC codes and "best if used by" dates are listed below.

Walmart store brand Broccoli Florets; Broccoli Cauliflower Florets; Broccoli Slaw; Stir Fry Medley; Cauliflower Florets; Cauliflower; Super Blend and Vegetable Medley.

According to the CDC, listeria has a variety of symptoms associated with it, though it can often cause fever or diarrhea like many other foodborne illnesses.

Recalled products from Archer Farms include 12-ounce bags of broccoli slaw, broccoli cauliflower florets, broccoli florets, broccoli medley and brussels sprouts. Customers should not consume these items but should discard them or return them to the place of purchase. The recall is over listeria outbreak concerns, as a random sampling of some of Mann Packing's products tested positive for the bacteria.
