India win 4-0 against Pakistan in Asia Cup semi final

India defeated Pakistan in the all-important semi-final match of Asia Cup on Saturday.

India made the match easy scoring three more goals in the last quarter of 15 minutes with Harmanpreet Singh, who was adjudged man of the match, scoring the 2nd goal in the 51st from a penalty corner.

With goals from Satbir, Harmanpreet, Lalit and Gurjant, India once again beat Pakistan and moved into the Asia Cup final.

The green shirts had reached super four round along with India.

India will take on the victor of Malaysia and South Korea in the final on Sunday. India will now play either defending champions South Korea or Malaysia.

With the day's feat, last time runners-up India finished top in the four-team super league securing highest seven points while Pakistan were in the bottom of the list with only one point, playing three matches each. A good assist by SV Sunil saw SK Uthappa score India's third goal in the 24th minute.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Coach Farhat Khan expressed that his team, especially their forward line, needed to go all-out against India if they want to be in the Final.

India won two successive penalty corners in the 48th and 49th minute, both of which were saved by Pakistan's Amjad Ali with some heroic saves to deny the Indians.

This was the second match between the two sides in the Hero Asia Cup 2017 as they have already faced each other in the Pool stage where India came out on top with a 3-1 victory.

Gurjant completed India's big win in the 57th minute after sweeping home a right cross from Akashdeep Singh.
