According to reports, five persons, including four women of a family, were found dead inside a house at Mansarovar Park of Shahdara district in East Delhi. It is believed that the weapon was used to stab the five victims. Their neighbours informed the police about the incident around 7 a.m.

DCP, Shahadra, Nupur Prasad, however, said the entry of the accused into the house seemed friendly.

Given the nature of murders, the police have formed multiple teams to identify and nab the suspects.

The deceased were identifed as Urmila Jindal, 82, and her daughters Sangeeta Gupta, 58, Nupur Jindal, 48, and Anjali Jindal, 38.

The first floor where the three women were killed has only one room, and the dead body of the guard was found near the staircase.

Some people known to the family claimed in front of the police that the killings could be a fallout of a property dispute, a charge denied by the family which claimed that the killings were carried out by robbers.

GST rates cut on 27 items
Service-providers then may deposit GST only on services where GST might not have been deposited by those availing service. The requirement of reverse charge mechanism was done away with until March 31.

"Urmila's husband Ramkishan and his six brothers had established the Jindal Oil Mill in 1932, but later after he and his brothers passed away, Urmila started renting their 2,700 yard property in small portions to over 100 shops".

Police suspect that the murder was committed by people who were known to the family.

"There were 40 members in our family living in the ancestral house".

Relatives said no one heard any sound.

A police officer told IANS that they were looking whether personal animosity could have led to the horrific murders. "I got a call that from a friend and got to know about the incident". Family members and friends are being questioned.
